We support solar energy development in our county and call on our local leaders to reject solar moratoriums and other anti-renewable proposals.  Anti-renewable regulation strips farmers of their right to use their land as they see fit, depriving them of a stable source of income.  In addition, anti-renewable regulations and red tape deny the economic benefits of solar to everyone in the county. Solar brings tax revenue to the county that could improve schools for our kids, fix our roads, or buy better equipment for our first responders. Solar development also helps conserve the land, letting it rest and recover, while preserving it for future agricultural use. Solar is a win for our county and our elected representatives must give it their full support.
